Poster – The Scotchman
I created a poster of The Scotchman Drive-In’s historic sign! It may look like a photo, but it is an illustration I put together in CorelDraw and SketchUp, then placed on a cloudy sky photo.

We used to go through there all the time in the 70’s. That was our Friday-Saturday night thing to do. I only had a 1971 Mercury Comet but i did add some nice wheels and tires. I now at 67 have my fathers 1966 Mercury Colony Park wagon with cragar mags and wider tires on it. It is maybe the only one left on the street and i get compliments every where i take it. I miss the 60’s & 70’s so much!
Tom – I want to start a public group on FaceBook “Cruise’n the Scotchman” as a place for ole Denver Hot Rodders to trip down memory lane. Could we get your permission to use your Scotchman Sign Poster Image as the page profile photo … Would be happy to promote your posters as well. … J.O.
Where was the Scotchman located?
near 50th and Federal. a Wendy’s burgers now stands on the exact site of the original Scotchman.
I worked ,or shall I call it, played at this restaurant when I was in High School. LOVED IT SOOOOO MUCH FUN. Where I met my husband of 46years .
I was sixteen years old when I went to the final night of The Scotchman. We were in a friends car (Dana Bray). It was a 1975 yellow 360 Duster (with the side stripe). Cool car! Believe it of not. . . I lost my virginity that night. I was like a scene of American Graffiti. No shit. Very cool night. I loved The ‘ol Scotchman. I’ll never forget that night!
I know where the real sign is
